Congrats to our own Helen Concannon, who won the ‘Trustee of the Year’ gong at the 2018 Charity Impact Awards, held last night.

Helen, who is Chief Commissioner of the Irish Girl Guides, was representing the organisation in the category.

The mum of two joined Nonie Hickey’s Girl Guides troupe in the late 1980s and has never lost interest. Between her job as a teacher, raising a young family, and charity work, Helen still finds time for the Girl Guides.

She is an inspiration, and deserves every award that comes her way.
