GAA legends, Iggy Clarke and Justin Campbell, will be among the speakers at a Health and Wellbeing seminar, hosted by Barna GAA on Thursday.
Chaired by local man, Dr Eoin McDonagh - himself with an impressive link to the organisation, being the son of former GAA chairman and All-Ireland winner, Joe - the event will take place on the top floor ballroom of the Twelve Hotel at 8pm.
Iggy won an All Ireland Senior Hurling Medal in 1980, and is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellor/ Psychotherapists. Among the topics he will cover include the impact of technology and Social Media on our lives.
Justin played in the 1993 All Ireland Hurling Final and is a professionally-trained Addiction Counsellor, with many years of experience dealing with alcohol, drug and gambling addictions.
He will discuss health and wellbeing in GAA Clubs and the pathway to addiction.
This seminar is open to everyone in the community and promises to be a very informative evening on a range of subjects that are topical in today's society.
