We offer our sincere sympathies to the Hernon family, New Village, on the death of Eilís at Galway Hospice yesterday.

Daughter of Tessie and the late Tim, Eilís is survived by her husband, Pete Coen, and children Ronan and Ciara; siblings Mairead, Vincent, Willie, Tony, and Leo.

A private funeral Mass for Eilís will take place in Corofin on Friday at 12 noon, followed by burial in Kilmoylan Cemetery.

The Mass will be live streamed via the internet and parish radio 105.9 fm (where available).
