Help needed for graveyard Upkeep
Reilig Bhearna, Pier Road, is one of our two local burial grounds. Graves here date back several hundred years, and often reveal a very different way of life in this area - including numerous members of the one family dying around the time of the Spanish Flu pandemic.
In cases where people cannot tend to their own family graves, a small team of volunteers steps up to the task year-in-year-out.
They need more help though, and are looking for some young blood to lend a hand every month with grass cutting, strimming, weeding, raking etc. If you can spare a few hours, please make contact with Padraig: 087 1268443.
