The parish of St James (Bearna-Na Forbacha) was established in 1972. It consists of two churches, and two burial grounds - but only one priest!

Fr Michael Brennan divides his time between both. When he cannot say Mass in one church, the lay community holds a Communion Service, so there is rarely a case where the Eucharist cannot be celebrated.
