Residents Warned As Unwanted Visitor Calls to Homes
A Bearna Beo follower got in touch to alert others to the suspicious behaviour of a man who arrived at his house today looking for work.
The man told Bearna Beo: “I'm not saying he was up to no good... but he could certainly put one at unease and could intimidate an older person.”
Describing the man as being in his late 30s and driving an 11 C-reg black van with ladder on top, he had driven into his driveway at about noon looking for odd jobs to do.
“He said he was retired from the Navy and needed work, that he had five children. Frankly, I had been out in my garden, I hadn't heard him arrive or knock, and was taken aback at his presence in my yard,” the man told Bearna Beo.
“He was a big guy, shaven head, tall, tattooed on his neck, and then he said, you've a lovely quiet dog. That certainly didn't endear him to me.I didn't entertain him, I said I'd no need for him to do any jobs and ended the conversation. He drove off towards Bearna.”
