Bearna/Na Forbacha (Barna-Furbo) is a vibrant community, settled half way along the Wild Atlantic Way, on the western fringes of Galway City. BearnaBeo is dedicated to promoting what's going on within it - the celebrations, successes, promoting business life, along with everyday events.

What an extraordinary few days we have had - the first ever 'snow days' for most of us!

The 'Beast From The East' and 'Storm Emma' brought a Red Weather Warning across Ireland on March 1 and 2.

The schools were closed, and many businesses shut down on Thursday afternoon, not to re-open again until Saturday or even Monday. There were shortages of bread and milk, frenzied buying, and lots of snowmen of course!

We took the car out on Friday, March 2, to see what all the fuss was about!
