Bruce Blake R.I.P.

Sad to report that Bruce Blake, formerly of Bearna Demense, has died.

A Galwegian to his core, Bruce and his late wife Grace spent many happy years living among us in Bearna, and were regulars in the community and at Sunday Mass. He had been living in Droimnín Retirement Village, Stradbally, Co. Laois, for the past few years, however. 

Predeceased by his eldest daughter, Madeleine, and his beloved Grace in 2011, Bruce is survived by his children, Carl, Alanna, Grainne, Bridin, Colm, Mary, and Dermot, along with his brother, Henry, and sister, Easter.

His remains will repose in St John the Apostle Church, Knocknacarra, on Wednesday from 4.30-6.30pm. Requiem Mass will take place the following day at 11am, with burial to Menlo Cemetery afterwards, 

Donations, if desired, in his memory to the Anne Sullivan Foundation for the Blind.
