Death of Elizabeth O'Byrne

In her 92nd year, Elizabeth O'Byrne (née McDonald) passed away today (Thursday).

Formerly of The Crescent, Elizabeth moved to Bearna in subsequent years, settling across the road from the Church, which was actually the site of the old schoolhouse.

She had been cared for by staff at St Mary's Residential Care Centre, Shantalla, in the last few years.

Her husband, Harry (who was a surgeon), and her son, Paul, pre-deceased her.

We extend our sincere sympathies to her children George, Harry, Anne, Elizabeth, Sharon, Joseph, John, Christine, Mary, and Angela. 

Her remains will repose at O'Flaherty's Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, tomorrow (Friday) from 4.30pm, with Removal at 6.30 pm to St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11am, followed by burial at Rahoon Cemetery. House Private. No flowers please.
