Easter is considered the most important event in the church's calendar, and it is traditionally marked with a triduum of observance to prepare us for the resurrection.
Fr Michael and his team of volunteers have put together the following programme for the churches in both Bearna and Na Forbacha.
Holy Thursday
Mass of the Lord’s Supper

Bearna: 9pm
Vigil around the Altar of Repose “Could you not watch one hour with me.”

Good Friday
Carrying the Cross
Furbo: 11.40am (from Reilig Réalt na Mara to the Church)
Bearna: 2.30pm (from Silverstrand to the Church)
Celebration of the Lord’s Passion
Furbo: 12pm
Bearna: 3pm
Stations of the Cross
Bearna: 7.30pm
Vigil Around The Tomb
Furbo (and remembrance of deceased relatives and friends): 10pm
Bearna: 10.30-11.30pm
Holy Saturday
Sacrament of Reconciliation (Private confessions in church)

Easter Vigil (beginning with the formal lighting of the Paschal Candle from the Eastter fire outside)
